Funeral services for Andrew Grady, 61, were held Saturday, March 28, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's church. The Rev. Wilfred Schmidt officiated.

Mr. Grady, a former resident of this vicinity died Thursday, March 26, at the veteran's hospital in Minneapolis, Minn.

H was born July 7, 1891, in Allamakee county, the son of Daniel and Mary (Gleason) Grady. His early life was spent on the farm. He was a veteran of World War I and was later employed by the Rock Island railroad until his health failed about two years ago.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Mrs. Mayme Winters, Mrs. Margaret Hunter, Mrs. Bessie McCauley; three brothers: Will, John, and Frank. Survivors include two sisters: Mrs. Catherine Milligan of Dubuque, Mrs. Thomas Ormsby of Osage, and one brother, Ambrose Grady of Chicago, Illinois.
