Edward Sheesley Jackson, 63, died at Oakdale Sanatorium on March 28, 1953, after a long illness. Born December 28, 1889, at Searsboro, Iowa, he was the son of George Taylor Jackson and Phoebe Anna Sheesley Jackson. He graduated from Montezuma high school.
On September 22, 1920, he was married to Emma Fink in Dubuque, Iowa. He labored as a mechanic during his active life.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 31 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gill chapel in Strawberry Point with the Rev. S. J. Meyer the officiating clergyman. Interment was at the Strawberry Point cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emma Jackson of Strawberry Point; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Blum, Dubuque; and Mrs. Marvin (Jacqueline) Snyder, Manchester; one son, Howard Don of Germany; two brothers; Ralph of Pontiac, Ill., and Clarence of Macomb, Ill. Also six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Harry.
