Herbert Will, son of Henry Will and his wife Magdaline, nee Lindeman was born April 24, 1916, near Delmont South Dakota. He was confirmed in the Lutheran church at Parkston, South Dakota, by the Rev. J. Lambertus.

For some time Mr. Will worked with his father on the farm. In 1935 he started working in a hardware store. In 1937 he was united in marriage to Clara Albrecht. For a while he continued working as a clerk in the hardware business, In 1942 he began working for the Milwaukee railroad as station agent. He worked in various cities in Iowa and South Dakota. In 1948 he moved with his family to St. Olaf, Iowa.

Mr. Will was a kind and loving husband and father, and a good fiend and neighbor. Since moving to St. Olaf he has been a member of St. John's Lutheran Church here at Farmersburg.

Mr. Will was found in the basement of his home last Tuesday, June 9, at about 6:00 p.m., the victim of an accidental gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital at Prairie du Chien, where he died at about 9:00.

He leaves to mourn his sudden and untimely death his wife, his three children, Margene, Doris and Daryl, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Will of Delmont, South Dakota, his grandmother, two brothers, Raymond of Moline, Ill., and Roland of San Francisco, Calif., one sister, Elsie, Mrs. Herbert Kaufman of Delmont, South Dakota, besides other relatives and a host of friends.

Burial was at Delmont, South Dakota.
