Mrs. Wilhelmine (Minnie) F. H. Rantzow, 78, a long-time resident of Clayton County, died July 7, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Kalke in Read township, following a stroke three weeks previously.
She was born Jan. 1, 1875, in Germany, the daughter of Karl and Carlena Jung. She came to Clayton county in 1881, receiving her education in Clayton county schools. On Feb. 17, 1898, she was married in Clayton county to Charley Rantzow who died in 1937.
Mrs. Rantzow is survived by two sisters, Anna and Alvina; a half-sister, Lena; and a niece, Mrs. Hugo Kalke, with whom she had bee making her home since the first of the year.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 10, at the Witt funeral chapel and the Zion Evangelical Lutheran church, Clayton Center, of which she was an active member and former president of the Ladies Aid.
Interment was at the New Clayton Center cemetery. Pallbearers were: Emil Best, Clarence Raade, Ervin Breitsprecher, Kenneth Breitsprecher, Waldo Taake and Ervin Taake.
