Funeral services for Miss Blanche Thompson, 48, Minneapolis, Minn., were held Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Schultz funeral home to Norway Lutheran church at 1:30 o'clock with the Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiating.
Burial was in the Norway cemetery.
Miss Thompson died at the home of her sister, Mrs. F. A. Moser, in Farmersburg, Sunday afternoon August 2, from a cerebral hemorrhage.
She was born a daughter of Lars and Retelia Thompson in Wagner township, Sept. 15, 1904. She was baptized and confirmed in the Norway Lutheran church.
She was a graduate of Elkader high school, St. Olaf college at Northfield, Minn., and had a library degree from the University of Minnesota.
She taught in the high schools in various localities in Minnesota and was presently employed as librarian at Jefferson Junior high school in Minneapolis. She was past president of the Minnesota Association of school librarians and had been active in both state and national library organizations. She was also very active in the Central Lutheran church at Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Joyce.
She is survived by two sisters, Lillian of Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. F. A. Moser of Farmersburg, and by on nephew, Robert Moser.
Pallbeaers were: Hugo Oelke, Kenneth Fuelling, Carroll Oelke, Roy Reardon, William Reardon and Herbert Thoreson.
