Funeral services for Mrs. Charles A. Reinke, 69,, who died Saturday evening, September 13, at the home of (Miss or Mrs.) Minnie Lupker at Monona, were held on Wednesday afternoon, September 16, in th Pilgrim Evangelical United Brethren church with the pastor, the Rev. A. W. Ebert officiating. Burial was in the Giard cemetery.
Mrs. Reinke, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Heinrich Westfall, was born on March 16, 1884, at Olpe, Kansas. On Dec. 7, 1904, she was united in marriage to Charles A. Reinke of Farmersburg, Iowa. Except for seven years of their married life which was spent in Froelich, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Reinke resided on the home farm now occupied by their son, until the death of Mr. Reinke in 1939. Mrs. Reinke then went to Emporia, Kansas, which has been her home until the time of her death.
Mrs. Reinke was a member of the Prairie Evangelical church and a lifelong member of W.S.W.S.
Surviving are her daughter, Edna, and a son, Gordon; one sister, Mrs. Horace Ferren of Emporia, Kansas.; three grandchildren.
Music for the service was provided by the men's quartet composed of Leroy Eiffert, David Schlitter, Harlan Hass and John Wachter.
Pallbearers were: Harry Debes, Wm. Marfilius, Walter Meier, Grover Miller, David Kammerer, Harvey Klassen and Henry Kutzbach.
