Funeral services were held on Monday, August 16, 2004 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in McGregor, Iowa for Donna M. Carlson of Cedar Falls, Iowa, age 79, who died on Thursday, August 12, 2004 at her home. Rev. Tom Ogilvie officiated. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in McGregor.

Donna was born to Will and Elsie (McMillin) Davies on January 18, 1925 in McGregor. She was united in marriage with Carl V. Carlson on January 21, 1946 in Waukon, Iowa.

She is survived by her four daughters: Donna (David) Dichtelmiller of Waterloo, Iowa, Carla (Jerry) Crosby of Cedar Falls, Mary Lou (Michael) Bridges of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Beth (Scott) Ackles of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren: Michelle Bauman, Mark Bridges, Matthew Bridges, Carl Ackles, and Rebecca Ackles; two great-grandchildren: Nathaniel and Simeon Bauman; one brother Charles (June) Davies and two sisters, Darlene Cahoon and Joyce (John) Hill, all of McGregor.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband who died on February 15, 1979; and a brother-in-law Delbert Cahoon.
