Margaret M. Hubacher of Lake Mills, Iowa died on Saturday, December 11, 2004 at the Willowbrook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lake Mills. She was 92 years old. Memorial services were held on Saturday, December 18, 2004 at the United Methodist Church with Rev. Frank Gaylord officiating. Burial was in the Monona Eastside City Cemetery in Monona, Iowa.

Margaret was born on December 28, 1911 in Todd County, Minnesota to George A. and Clara (Eichhorst) Wolff. She married Howard Hubacher on June 21, 1930 in Cherokee, Iowa. Howard died on July 28, 1991.

Margaret was a resident of Monona for 50 years before moving to Madison, Wisconsin where she lived for 30 years. She moved to Lake Mills, Iowa in 1988. She was employed by Manchester's Department Store in Madison for over 20 years, retiring in 1974.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a step-brother Calvin Bennett and a grandson Timothy Hubacher. She is survived by three sons: Donald (Billie) Hubacher, Robert (Nancy) Hubacher, all of Waterloo, Wisconsin, James (Mary) Hubacher of O'Fallon, Missouri; a daughter Dorothy Larson of Chino Hills, California; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; one step-sister-in-law Beverly Bennett of Visalia, California and other relatives and friends.
