MILLER RITES ON WEDNESDAY

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning from the Steger funeral home to St. Mary’s church for Mrs. Ann Miller, 87, who died at Riverview hospital here at 11:45 p.m. Saturday after an illness of six weeks.

The services were officiated over by Rev. A. J. Schmitz, pastor of St. Mary’s church, and burial was in St. Mary’s cemetery.

Casketbearers for the service were grandson of Mrs. Miller, Cyrenus Elsinger, Andrew Elsinger, Jr., Cyril Elsinger, William Haag, Harold Haag and Donald Hess.

Mrs. Miller was born in Guttenberg on April 23, 1871, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Albers. On May 5, 1891, she was married to William Miller who died on November 23, 1946. She had made Guttenberg her home her entire life.

Surviving Mrs. Miller are two daughters, Mrs. Andrew Elsinger of Guttenberg and Mrs. Arnold Hess of Luxemburg. Also surviving are twenty grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Cyril, and a daughter, Beatrice, in addition to her husband.
