FUNERAL RITES HELD FOR MRS. ANNA KOOPMAN
Was Born Here in 1866; Rites Are Held in St. Francis Church, Dyersville, Monday
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Koopman, 73 were held at 9 o’clock Monday morning in St. Francis Catholic church, Dyersville, followed by burial in St. Francis cemetery there. Mrs. Koopman was a native of Guttenberg.
She died Thursday afternoon in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bernard Tapke, in Luxemburg. She had been ill three weeks.
Mrs. Koopman’s maiden name was Anna Tiecke. She was born here Aug. 18, 1866, and married Bernard Lueck on Nov. 27, 1885. Mr. Luecke died in 1891, and she re-married on Oct. 1, 1918, to the late August Koopman.
Survivors
Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. John H. Eilers and Mrs. Bernard Tapke, both of Luxemburg; four step-children, Gus and Henry Koopman of Dyersville, Martin Koopman of Bloomington, Wis., and Mrs. Arthur Lyness of Bloomington; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Helena Lake of Marion; and on brother, Ben Tiecke of Dubuque.
