Marquette, Iowa, December 1, 2015

Loras John Kluesner, 75, of Marquette, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Prairie Maison, Prairie du Chein, Wisconsin. Loras John was born August 2, 1940 in Farley, Iowa, to Joe and Norma (Schute) Kluesner. He graduated from MFL High School in 1958. After high school, Loras enlisted into the United States Air Force and served his country for six years.

Loras was united in marriage with Patricia April Marszalek on November 4, 1967 at St. Mary Catholic Church in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They were later divorced. Loras worked at Laddish. After that he worked as an engineer, building homes. He played in bands including The Playboys and Crossroad Country. He enjoyed playing and listening to music and he loved his pet cats.

Loras is survived by his three children, Juliann Marie (Thomas) Parris of Sussex, Wisconsin, Susan Passey of Las Vegas, Nevada and Scott Kluesner of Las Vegas, Nevada; five grandchildren, Zachary and Haley Passey and Corey, Conner and Chase Parris; five siblings, Carol (Cyril) Elsing of Rickardsville, Iowa, Gloria Johnson of Lakeland, Florida, Janet (Roger) Bernhard of rural Monona, Iowa, Lonnie Kluesner of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin and Mike (Randi) Kluesner of Marquette, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Sharon Kluesner of Dubuque, Iowa and several nieces and nephews.

Loras was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Norma Kluesner; brothers, Jim and Paul Kluesner and one brother in infancy, Cyril John; and a niece, JeriLynn.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 22015 at St. mary Catholic Church, McGregor, Iowa with one hour visitation before Mass at the church on Friday.

Burial will be at a later date.

Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, McGregor, Iowa is helping the family with arrangements.
