Guttenberg, Iowa – Services for Anthony J. “Tony” Voss, 72 of Guttenberg will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Guttenberg.

Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Guttenberg. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg, where a wake service will be held at 8 p.m.

Mr. Voss farmed west of Guttenberg prior to his retirement.

He was born on Oct. 31, 1919, in rural Guttenberg, son of Bernard “Ben” and Christina “Dena” (Berns) Voss. He died Tuesday, June 2, 1992, at Mercy Health Center St. Joseph’s Unit, Dubuque.

He married Veryl Dingbaum on June 13, 1944, in Ss. Petersburg; she survives.

He attended St. Mary’s Catholic School in Guttenberg and was a member St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Guttenberg.

Also surviving are two sons, Steven (and Joyce) of Dubuque and Alan (and JoAnn) of Guttenberg; a daughter, Mrs. John (Jane) Berns of Dubuque; a daughter-in-law, Jean Voss of Elkport; nine grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Sam (May) Condon of Sidney, Australia

He was preceded in death by a son, Keith, on May 25, 1991, and two grandchildren, Jennifer and Brian.
