Guttenberg: Mrs. Charles Timm (nee Melvina Handke), former resident of this community, died at her home at La Mour, N.D., last Thursday at the age of 52 years. Mrs. Timm was born at Cedar Rapids, Iowa, later coming to Guttenberg with her parents to reside. She was married here to Charles Timm. After their marriage the couple went to North Dakota to make their home, where the deceased spent the remainder of her life. Her death is deeply mourned by her husband; two sons, Arnold and Elmer, of La Mour, N.D.; two daughters, Augusta, of Indiana and Marie of La Mour, N.D.; several grandchildren; five brothers, Oswald Handke of Garnavillo township, Alvin, Harry, Edgar and Waldimar Handke, of Jefferson township; one sister, Mrs. Arthur Essman of Jefferson township; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The body was brought to the Alvin Handke home in Jefferson township on Saturday, where funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, with interment in the City cemetery. The Rev. C. A. Jacobi officiated at the funeral. The funeral was largely attended.
