Funeral services for Henry Anton Sr., were held Tuesday morning at St. Mary's Catholic church conducted by the Rev. P. J. Boyle. The pall bearers were his son, Henry Anton Jr.; four sons-in-law, Leon Olinger, Nynn Seago, Albert Moser, and Elmer Scheckel; and nephew, Donald Hanson. Interment was made in the Strawberry Point cemetery. Henry Anton was born in Germany on July 22, 1863. When 18 years of age he came to the United States with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Anton, and located at Sheffield, Ill., and later came to Strawberry Point. He was united in marriage to Miss Josephine Schacherer on Nov. 24, 1891, and they moved to a farm four and one-half miles west of here, where he has always lived. Surviving are the widow and nine children, Mrs. Elizabeth Hansen of here; Mrs. Nynn (Anna) Seago, Arlington; Mrs. Leon (Katherine) Olinger, Strawberry Point; Mrs. Rose Anton, Estherville; Mrs. Albert (Mary) Moser and Mrs. Elmer (Laura) Scheckel, Strawberry Point; Margaret Anton, Henry Anton Jr., and Agnes Anton, at home; three sisters and one brother, Mrs. Agnes Hockstetter, Wyanet, Ill., Mrs. John Kramer of here, Mrs. Will Schacherer, Wallingford, and Joe Anton, Moline, Ill. There are also ten grandchildren.
