Clayton County Register, Thur., 31 Oct. 1935.
Luana: Mrs. Henry Krambeer, 67, was found dead in a pew of the Methodist church of Luana last Saturday afternoon by Mrs. M. E. Smith at about 2:30.
Apparently in her usual good health, Mrs. Krambeer did her daily duties about the home Saturday. With the afternoon dinner work over she went to the church to prepare it for the Sunday services, dusting, laying the fires, etc.
At about2:30 Mrs. M. E. Smith, going to church to practice singing with the children, found the dead body of Mrs. Kambeer in a back seat where she, no doubt, had sat down to rest.
Mrs. Krambeer had long been a dependable aid in the Methodist Sunday school, church and ladies aid where she will be greatly missed.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Methodist church. She leaves to mourn her death her husband, Henry Krambeer; four sisters, Mrs. Chas. Mintzer, Mrs. Will Turner of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Chas. Cummings of Colorado and Mrs. Eli Sheppard of near Luana; besides a large circle of relatives. A brother, Ed. White, died in Cedar Rapids within the year.
