Guttenberg: Mrs. Jacob Jaeger (nee Elizabeth Kaiser) passed away at her farm home in Garnavillo township on Saturday morning at 2:30 o'clock following an illness of long duration, at the age of 70 years, three months and three days. Mrs. Jaeger was born on a farm in Jefferson township, Clayton county, Iowa, on May 21, 1865, and spent her entire life in this community. She was married here to Jacob Jaeger. She is survived by her husband, five sons and other relatives. Two sons have preceded the mother in death. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. J. A. Dupont at St. Mary's Catholic church on Monday morning, with interment in St. Mary's cemetery.
