Straus, Howard William 1933 - 1935

Howard William Straus, 22 months old son of Mr. and Mrs. William Straus of here, passed away at the University hospital on Monday following a several weeks' illness. He was taken to the Iowa City hospital at Iowa City for treatment four weeks ago. The body was brought to his home here Tuesday. The little son was born here on July 8, 1933. His untimely death is mourned by his parents, his grandparents, and many other relatives by whom he will be sadly missed.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. W. J. F. Adix, pastor of St. John's American Lutheran church here, at the parental Straus home in Guttenberg on Wednesday afternoon. Interment was made in the cemetery at National. The family has the sympathy of all in this community.
