Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine Knapp, were held at the Pilkington funeral parlors Wednesday afternoon, Rev. S. F. Kenderline, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Burial was made in the Pleasant Ridge cemetery.
Katherine R. Henderson was born Nov. 8, 1854, in Perth, Scotland, and came to the United States with her parents at the age of 14 years. She was married in 1874 to Michael Knapp of Clermont, Iowa, and moved to a farm on Pleasant Ridge, near McGregor. To them were born three daughters, one dying in infancy. Her husband died in 1912. Mrs. Knapp was a member of the Methodist church.
She is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. O. E. Wilder of LaCrosse, Wis., and Mrs. Milo Knapp of Marquette, with whom she has lived for the past four years. She is also survived by one brother in California and two sisters in Milwaukee, Wis.; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Her death occurred Feb. 11, 1935, at the age of 81 years, three months and three days.
