Relatives here have received word of the death of Mrs. Burt Sartwell of Savanna, Ill., a former Clayton county resident. Mrs. Sartwell's death occurred at the Moline, Ill., city hospital on Feb. 9th, and the funeral was held at Savanna, Ill., on Feb. 11th, with interment in the city cemetery here.

Deceased was born on a farm in Mallory township, Clayton county, Iowa, 35 years ago, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Moser. She received her early education in the rural schools there. Later she attended the Guttenberg high school, from which she graduated. She was married to Mr. Burt Sartwell. After their marriage, the couple settled at Savanna, Ill., where deceased spent the remainder of her ambitious and true Christian life.

She is survived by her husband; six minor children; her mother, Mrs. Mary Moser, of Colorado; four brothers, Thomas, Ralph, Francis and Julius Moser, of Mallory township; one sister, Mrs. Francis Troester, of Millville township; and many other relatives and friends, by whom this good and true woman will be sadly missed.
