FUNERAL SERVICES FOR JOHN LEWIN
_______Monday afternoon funeral services were held from St. John’s Ev. Lutheran church for John Lewin, who died Friday morning after a short illness. Burial was made at Ceres cemetery in the family lot. Rev. Emil Lehne conducted the services.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Minnie Tuecke of Sheffield, Iowa; Mrs. Erna Timmerman of Plentywood, Mont.; Mrs. Leona Clefisch of Volga township; Mrs. Louise Clefisch of Jefferson township and two sons, Raymond of Jefferson township and Willis of Volga township. His wife died several years ago.
Mr. Lewin was born in Germany, June 18, 1850, later immigrating to America and settling in Jefferson township, where he lived until fifteen years ago, when he came to this city and retired from active management of the farm.
