Alice Lucille, eldest daughter of John and Margaret Henry, was born at Strawberry Point June 17, 1909. She graduated from the local public school in 1926. Soon afterwards the family moved to Greeley, where they have since resided.
After completing a business course in Cedar Rapids she went to Chicago, where she was employed for three years but was compelled to return home on account of her health.
Through the many days of suffering Alice always had a cheery smile and welcomed her many friends who visited her.
Surviving are her parents; one sister, Miss Margaret, who teaches at Winthrop; and four brothers, Charles Henry and Paul Henry of Chicago, James Henry and Richard Henry of Greeley.

Funeral services for Alice Henry, who passed away Friday at Sunny Crest sanitarium, Dubuque, after an illness of nearly three years, were held at the St. Mary's Catholic church in Strawberry Point. The pastor, Rev. Boyle, officiated at mass, and Rev. Hamill of the Edgewood and Greeley parishes, gave the sermon.
The pallbearers were: Marcus O'Brien, John M. O'Brien, Richard Dinan, Charles Boland and Thomas Ivory. Interment was made in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
