Transcriber's note - this obituary was illegible in several places, the first few paragraphs and several sentences in the middle. I've transcribed what I can read.

[illegible] ...June 2?, 1906 she was united in marriage to Herbert O. Zurcher, which union was blessed with 2 sons, Glendor and Herbert. Mr. Zurcher died on the 27th of February, 1910. In 1915 on the 24th day of February she was married again to Mr. Alfred J. Kishman, her now sorrowing husband.

On the 6th of March she took sick with inflamatory rheumatism of the [illegible] kind ... [illegible sentences] ... in the moments of intense suffering and pain when she was overheard in the plea "Take me as I am" and when her mother stepped up to her bed nd tried to make her more comfortable, her only request was "O do let me die" and soon fell a sleep never to awaken again this side of the grave.

Thus we are called on to mourn the loss of a daughter, wife, mother, friend and neighbor, leaving a fine home just recently purchased one mile west of Monona, at the age of 34 years, 8 months and 29 days.

No time for a last farewell,
No time for the shock of fear,
Scarcely a moments halt on the Shore
With the guide and the boatmen near ......

Dear, how surprised you were to go,
With little to suffer, little to know
Only a moment of dark,
A dream of the fleeting night,

And then the beautiful break of day
And the quiet peace of light;
And you found yourself where you longed to stand,
In the repose of the Fatherland.

There remain to mourn, a husband, two sons, an aged mother, 3 sisters, Mrs. Wm. Marfilius, Senda and Lizzie; 3 brothers, William, Harry and Harvey, all of Farmersburg township, Clayton county, besides these a large circle of relatives and friends.

The funeral was held Wednesday morning 10 o'clock from the late residence, thence to the Prairie Evangelical church with the interment in Farmersburg cemetery. The Rev. P.F. Walter and E.G. Glaeser officiating. May it please God to grant to all a blessed reunion in heaven.

Those from away in attendance at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Ben Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Aug Brockman, and Mr. and Mrs. F. McKinney of Guttenberg; Mrs. Albert Schmidt of Elkader; Mr. and Mrs. Adam Debes and Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Ellenbolt of McGregor.

Card of Thanks
We the undersigned wish to express our heartfelt thanks to the neighbors and friends who so kindly assisted us in the days of illness and death of our beloved daughter, wife and mother. Also would we express our appreciation for the beautiful floral offerings.
Mrs. A. Debes and Family
Mr. A.J. Kishman and Sons

~Monona Leader, March 31, 1921

Note: she was the 1st of Alfred Kishman's 3 wives.
