KAFER, FROMMER, BAARS

Word was received here today of the death of Tony Kafer of Littleport, last night. He was about thirty-three years old and leaves a widow, formerly Lizzie Baars, daughter of Wm. Baars of Elkader, and one child, besides two sisters and four brothers, to mourn his untimely death. The sympathy of a wide circle of friends will be with them in their sorrow.

Notes: s/o Tony SR & Katherine (Frommer) Kafer. The 1915 Iowa State census gives his occupation as Butcher, age 29 & religion as Catholic. Iowa Deaths & Burials database (Ancestry) gives dates 10/28/1885 - 3/24/1919 and burial Littleport. His gravestone is in Sacred Heart Catholic - Littleport cemetery.
