McGregor, Ia. - Mrs. Alfred (Mae) Kishman, 81, of rural Garnavillo, Ia., died Wednesday morning [Aug 2] at Prairie du Chien (Wis.) Memorial Hospital.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Swede Ridge Lutheran church, rural McGregor, with burial in the Norwegian Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the Thornburg Funeral Home, McGregor.

Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Claire Burkitt of San Francisco, Calif.; two grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; seven brothers and six sisters.

Notes: She was the 3rd w/o Alfred Kishman. The 1925 Iowa State census, Clayton co., Clayton twp. enumerates May (b. Missouri), her husband Eric Halverson & their 2 daughters Clara & Lucille. It gives her parents as C.P. Lacy and Minerva Jones, both b. Missouri. Eric Halverson died in 1945 and is buried in the Norwegian aka Stavanger cemetery. The SSDI gives her dates as 5/28/1886-Aug. 1967
