Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Delpha Mae Larson, age 95, of Marion, Iowa passed away June 30, 2017 at St.Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Services will be held at 11 a.m. with a visitation an hour before on Wednesday, July 5 at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids. Pastor Carroll Brown will officiate. Entombment will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Delpha Mae was born April 6, 1922 to John and Lucy (Radloff) Hagensick in Clayton County, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Warren Larson on December 3, 1940 in Farmersburg, Iowa. In 1952 she and Warren moved to Cedar Rapids. In 2011 they made their home in Evergreen Estates III and then recently moved to Winslow House in Marion. Delpha Mae enjoyed gardening, playing bingo and cards. She especially enjoyed doing volunteer work.
She is survived by her daughters, Betty (Harold Peterson) Barnard of Cedar Rapids and Barbara Izer of Iowa Falls, Iowa; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a granddaughter; and four sisters, Miranda Kalke, Marie Seeland, Gustava Larson, and baby sister Joyce Darlene Hagensick who died at the age of three months.
