Funeral services for Alois William Vorwald, 36, Clayton farmer who died of a heart attack Friday at his home near Guttenberg, were held Wednesday morning, Nov. 23, at St. Joseph's church Elkader. The Rev. B. H. Skahill officiated and burial was in St. Mary's cemetery, home church of the deceased.
Alois William Vorwald was born June 5, 1913, son of George J. Vorwald and Clara Schulte, near Guttenberg.
He was educated at St. Mary's school, Guttenberg, and in 1938 moved to a farm near Guttenberg where he died. He was unmarried.
Besides his father he is survived by Alphonse Vorwald, Roberts, Wis.; Mrs. L. M. Wagner, Elkader; Mrs. Mae McCluer, Waterloo; George Vorwald, Elkader; and Mrs. _. E. Knudson, Wadena.
Pallbearers were: Holden Vorwald, Edward Vorwald, Marcus Petsche, Loran Frommelt, John _iller, and Cyrill Vorwald.
Relatives from a distance at the funeral were: George Vorwald Sr., Alphonse Vorwald and Jerry Vorwald, all of Roberts, Wis.; Mrs. M. _. McClure, Waterloo; Mrs. Cornelius Knudson and Lavonne Kund_on, Wadena.
