At the residence of her step-father, James Varley, of Elkader, Iowa, occurred the death of Mrs. George Wilmott, November 11th, 1890 at the age of 36 years, 9 months and 27 days.

Deceased was born in Clime, Chitanky county, N.Y. She was the daughter of Zabin and Mary Shippee (now Mrs. Varley). At the age of three years her parents came west to Clayton county, Iowa. After two years they removed to Olmstead county, Minnesota, where she has since made her home.

Her father enlisted in the war and died at Little Rock, Arkansas, when she was about twelve.

She married George Willmott September 18th, 1867, her mother afterward married James Varley, of this place. Mrs. Wilmott was a member of the Baptist church. She was loved and respected as a child and well worthy the trust her mother place in her. After she became grown her friends never saw cause to desert her.

Last February she was taken very ill but survived after six weeks sickness to come to this place with her mother, where she had the best care that kind friends and loving relatives could do for her. After a nine months sickness, which she endured without complaint, always trusting in the Lord, she passed to meet her only child, a young man 19 years of age, who went last February.

She leaves a husband, mother and half sister to mourn her death, also many friends. The funeral will take place from James Varley’s residence at 10 o’clock today (Thursday).
