Mrs. Emil Boehm died at her home in Elkport, Iowa, Oct. 11, 1949, after an illness of several months. Death was due to cancer. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Schultz and was born Jan. 5, 1902, in Elk township, Clayton county, Iowa.
She was reared on a farm near Elkport and received her education in the Wolf Creek rural school.
On March 17, 1920, she was united in marriage to Emil Boehm at the home of her parents.
Survivors are her two daughters, Virginia and Ivanelle, both at home; her mother, Mrs. Lena Schultz, of Edgewood; one brother, Charles Schultz, of Edgewood, and two sisters, Mrs. Joe Curran, Elkader, and Mrs. Elmer Boehm, of Elkport.
She is preceded in death by her father who died Dec. 26, 1940.
The funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 14, at 1:30 at the house and 3 o'clock at St. John's church in Garber. The Rev. Walter Vonderohe officiated. Burial was in the Mt. Harmony cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Laurence Waterman, Arthur Jaster, Albert Jaster, Willis Lewin, George Gifford and Henry Beeh.
