Funeral services for Miss Joyce Thompson, who died at St. Luke's hospital in Denver, Col., last Wednesday, were held Saturday afternoon at the Norway Lutheran church, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Joyce Vivian Thompson was born in Wagner township, Clayton county, on Nov. 11, 1905, and died in St. Luke's hospital, Denver, Colo., Aug. 24, 1949.
She was baptized and confirmed in the Norway Lutheran church. She was graduated from the Farmersburg high school and of St. Olaf college, Northfield, Minn. For a number of years she taught school in various localities in Iowa and Illinois, and was also employed in Washington, D.C., and in New York City. In June this year she moved to Denver, Colo., where she was living at the time of her death.
She is survived by three sisters, Blanche Thompson, Minneapolis, Minn.; Lillian Thompson of Denver, Colo.; and Mrs. F. A. Moser of Farmersburg.
