Relatives here received the news last week of the death of Mrs. Lydia Elizabeth Bachtell, 78, wife of the late Edward Bachtell and daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ira Tinkham of Seattle, Wash.
Mr. and Mrs. Bachtell were residents of Volga for several years, where Mr. Bachtell operated a blacksmith shop. They were bereft of a little son, David, who is buried in Hill Crest cemetery. She is survived by one son, Ira, and a daughter, Mrs. Edna Price, of Seattle, Wash.
Mrs. Wm. Morse and Eva B. Taylor, local citizens, are cousins of Mrs. Bachtell.
