Roland Stemmer, 50, a former Elkader resident, died at his home in Mukilteo, Wash., Monday, Aug. 15. The word was received here by his brother, John C. Stemmer. Funeral services will be held at Mukilteo Thursday.

He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John G. Stemmer of Elkader. He is survived by his wife and two sons, Roland and John; also two brothers and three sisters, namely: Herb Stemmer, California; John C. Stemmer, Elkader; Mrs. Harry (Ruth) Bender, Waterloo; Mrs. Jim (Rosebell) Taylor, and Mrs. Will (Carrie) Shepherd, both of Northwood.
