Funeral services for Mrs. Alta Avis Nading, 45, who died of a heart attack at Elkader Friday, June 10, were held at Sacred Heart church, Littleport, Monday, June 13. The Rev. Loras Holmberg of Garber officiated. Burial was in the Union cemetery at Littleport.
Alta Avis Scovel was born at Littleport April 6, 1904, the daughter of Walter and Jessie Scovel. She received her education in the Littleport school. On April 12, 1922, she was married to Raymond Nading, also of Littleport. He preceded her in death July 4, 1934.
Mrs. Nading was a member of the Sacred Heart church, Littleport.
She is survived by a daughter and two sons, Evelyn Raye Nading and Leonard Chase Nading, both of Woodward, and Leo Keith Nading of Elgin; her father, Walter Scovel, and one brother, Howard Scovel, both of Guttenburg, and one sister, Mrs. Glen Hartbeck, Edgewood.
Preceding her in death besides her husband was a daughter, Mary.
Pallbearers were: John O'Day, Carl Ortman, John Wiley, Oscar Meese, Harold Liddy and Barney Kraus.
