Clayton County Register, Thur., 23 June 1949.

Mrs. Amelia Sheppard, 88, a former resident of Clayton county, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Margaret Cameron, at Independence Thursday, June 16. Funeral and burial services were held Monday at Lawler.

Mrs. Sheppard was the wife of the late Dr. John L. Sheppard, formerly of Volga City.

She is survived by three sons and two daughters, Charles Sheppard, Lawler, John Sheppard, Waterloo, Will Sheppard and Mrs. Anne Zipse, Colfax, Wis., and Mrs. Margaret Cameron, Independence.
