Jacquelin Ann Whittle was born Aug. 10, 1948. She died March 13, 1949, enroute to a Dubuque hospital at the age of 7 months and 3 days.

A post mortem examination was held but the cause of death was not found.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Joe, who died in infancy.

She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Whittle; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Polfes of Garnavillo, and Mr. and Mrs. Al Whittle of Harpers Ferry; and her maternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Kat__ Schmelzer of Garnavillo; and several aunts and uncles.

Those who came from a distance to attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hird, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Whittle and Wm. Sutter of Dubuque; Mr. and Mrs. Al Whittle, Janice and Raymond of Harpers Ferry; Mr. and Mrs. John Whittle of Arlington; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Maibaurer of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Schmelzer of Guttenberg; Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Whittle and Loretta, Mr. and Mrs. Will Cheeseman, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schmelzer, Mr. and Mrs. Art Crary, Mrs. Elsie Whittle and Burnell, Mrs. Floyd Leuchtenmacher, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Frommelt, all of Elkader; and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Tauhe of Dyersville.

Pallbearers were Maurice and Gerald Burr, Donald Berns and Robert DeSotel.
