Contributor's note: There may have been an obit for her in the Monona newspaper, but I did not find one in the Elkader papers. Whereas, We recognized in Miss Drake, an earnest worker in the cause of education, therefore
Resolved, That we the teachers of Clayton County, do most sincerely feel the loss of so efficient a co worker, and while we mourn her departure, we also emulate her worthy example, both as a lady and a teacher, and may we try to shape our course toward that port in which her bark was guided, so that when our mission here is ended, we may with joy be admitted into the presence of the Great Teacher whose favor is life everlasting.
