Drake, Homer died 1871

Died. At Volga City, Iowa, April 10th, Homer B., son of C.L. and Orpha Drake, aged 29 years.

With deep regret we publish the above. Mr. Drake had many qualities which endeared him to his friends who will miss and mourn his early departure for that [illegible] from whence no traveler returneth. In common with them we pay our tribute of sympathy to his bereaved family.

Note: burial is in Hillcrest cemetery
