Elkader Register, Thur., 27 Nov. 1924. Strawberry Point column.
The death of Grandma Ludy occurred Monday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Will Blanchard, after a lingering illness. Since her husband's death, which occurred a number of years ago, she and her granddaughter, Miss Pearl Ludy, whom she has reared since the death of her mother, have lived alone, until last September she went to live with her daughter, Mrs. Blanchard, where she could care for her better. Everyone knew Grandma Ludy and all loved her. She leaves to mourn her loss two daughters, Mrs. Will Blanchard and Mrs. Anna Weeks, besides other relatives and a host of friends. A devoted mother, a true friend and a noble Christian woman has gone to her reward.
