Elkader Register, Thur., 25 Sept. 1924. Farmersburg column.

Mrs. Daniel Reardon, whose name was Mary Adeline Sebastine, was born Nov. 4th, 1872, in Wagner township, Clayton County, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Daniel Reardon Sept. 19, 1890, with whom she lived a few days less than 34 years. They lived on a farm in Wagner Township until they moved to Farmersburg seven years ago last March. To Mr. and Mrs. Reardon the Lord entrusted five children, three sons and two daughters. Two sons died in infancy and a daughter, Iva, who was the wife of Ira Moon, also preceded the mother in death. Mrs. Reardon was a dutiful mother and a faithful wife. She had the cares and labors that are common to every mother and her loss is keenly felt by her loved ones. She also went through sorrow being called upon to give up three of her children. The end of her earthly career came last Sunday afternoon, Sept. 14, at 5 o'clock. She had been in failing health since last spring and was confined to her bed for nine weeks. She attained the age of 51 years, 10 months and 10 days. When she knew that she could not live and that the end was not far away, she resigned her lot and calmly made suggestions as to the funeral services.

She entrusted herself to the Lord and departed this life in the faith of her Savior. She leaves to mourn: her husband; one son, Everett Reardon of Caledoni, Minn.; one daughter, Mary, at home; one grandchild; two brothers, Leonard Sebastian of Cresco, and Charley Sebastine, of California; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Barton of Marquette, Mrs. Ella Gurtisen of Monona, and Mrs. Samuel Shales of Farmersburg; besides other relatives and friends. Services were held Wednesday afternoon at the home and in the M.E. Church at Farmersburg, conducted by Rev. O. A. Hillman. Rev. Hillman offered prayer. Burial was in the city cemetery.

(Note: A resolution of sympathy by Palm Leaf Camp No. 3198 names her as Mrs. Addie Reardon. Both spellings of the surname Sebastian/Sebastine were used in the obit.)
