Thovson, Emma 1878 - 1965

Services for Emma Thovson, 86, who died Friday, May 7, 1965, at the Lutheran Home at Strawberry Point, were held at Norway Lutheran Church Sunday, May 9. The Rev. Landis Gross officiated. Pallbearers were Herbert Thorson, LeRoy Reardon, Harvey Dahlstrom, Oscar Torkelson, William Reardon and James Mathews.
Miss Thovson was born on a farm in Wagner Township July 11, 1878, the daughter of Lars and Johanna Thovson. She was a lifelong resident of Clayton County, living at various times in St. Olaf, Elkader and Farmersburg. For the past three years she had been living at the Lutheran Home in Strawberry Point.
She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters. She is survived by two nephews, two nieces and several great nieces and nephews.
