Melissa V. Wareham, a former resident of this community, passed away at Timber Lake, S.D., September 13, 1924, at the age of 68 years, one month and eight days.

She was born in Read township, Clayton County, August 5, 1856, daughter of Alex and Mary Woods.

For the past twelve years, since 1912, she has made her home in Timber Lake, where she raised two grandchildren, Robert and Donald Frederick. Her daughter, Hanna Frederick, had the care of her in her last sickness.

She is survived by four children, Conrad, William, Hanna and John. Two children, Mollie and Alexander, preceded the mother in death. Besides the children she is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Ida Finnegan of Elkport, Mrs. Hanna Boice of Alfa, N.D., Mrs. Klinkle of Rochester, Minn., and two brothers, C. Wood of Timber Lake, S.D., and F. Wood of Elkport, who have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.

Mrs. Wareham united with the Congregational (rest of sentence missing) from that church here Tuesday forenoon with interment in the East Side cemetery, Rev. W. J. Warner officiating.
