Raymond Curtiss Tinkey was born February 1902 at Osterdock, Iowa, died August 5th, 1924, aged twenty-two years, six months and four days.
On April 13th, 1921, he was united in marriage to Evelyn G. Blaker. To this union two children were born, Raymond Jr. aged three years, and Grace Anna aged fifteen months.
He leaves to mourn his departure his wife; two children; mother and father; one brother, William H. Tinkey of Alexander, Ia.; two sisters, Mrs. Anna White and Mrs. Charles Troester both of Osterdock, Ia. One brother, Walter Roy Tinkey, preceded him in death.
He was received into the United Brethern church in April 1922 and has been a faithful member ever since. His death was caused from a severe attack of appendicitis and he did not survive from this disease.
We shall greatly miss him at Bethel church.
The funeral services were held at Bethel church on Thursday August 7th, conducted by his pastor Rev. F. L. Brock. A very large concourse of neighbors and friends gathered to pay their last respects and extend their sympathy to the sorrowing loved ones.
O, Lord, in this valley of woe,
Our Spirits for Heaven prepare.
Then shortly we also, shall know
And feel what it is to be there.
