John Welch, an inmate at the county asylum for the past twenty years, passed away Monday morning. Funeral services were held yesterday forenoon, with interment in St. Joseph's cemetery, Rev. Father Taken officiating. James Welch of Oelwein, a brother of the deceased, was in attendance at the funeral.
