Roberta R. Teaser

Roberta R. Teaser, 62, of McGregor died Monday, Jan. 21, 1991, at Prairie du Chien (Wis.) Memorial Hospital.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church, McGregor. There will be no visitation at Thornburg Funeral Home, McGregor.

Mrs. Teaser received her teaching degree at Upper Iowa University, Fayette, and taught in Waterville for a year. She later worked at insurance firms in Cedar Rapids and Des Moines. She later joined her brother, Charles Brooks in Brooks-Teaser Insurance Agency, McGregor.

She was born on May 6, 1928, in McGregor, daughter of Robert and Ruth (Phillips) Brooks. She married James Teaser on Jan. 7, 1961; he survives.

She was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and the library board, both in McGregor, and the Clayton County Substance Abuse.

Also surviving are two daughters, Susan Anderson of St. Paul, Minn., and Robin Brown of LaCrosse, Wis.; one grandson; her father, Robert Brooks of McGregor; and a brother, Charles Brooks of McGregor.

Memorials may be given to McGregor Fountain Fund, Mar-Mac Rescue Squad, both in McGregor, and Home Health Care Hospice, Prairie du Chien.
