Monona, Ia. - Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church here for Otto Kolbe, 53, who died Jan. 14 of a heart attack at the public school where he was working.
The Rev. H.W Farnham, pastor, officiated and burial was in the City cemetery.
Mr. Kolbe was born Feb. 2, 1888 at Marion Junction, S.D., the son of Mr. and Mrs. August Kolbe. At an eary age he came to Monona with his parents where he received his education.
He was married to Bessie Entwisle of Monona on Jan. 24, 1915.
He was employed as a contractor and was working on a shops building at the public school when he died.
Surviving are his widow; four children, Vernon of Camp Polk, La., and Donna, Edward and Roger, all at home; and one brother, Gus of Monona. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
