Elkader Register, Thur., 13 Dec. 1906. Guttenberg column.
J. M. Balsinger died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Barbara Morris, who resides on a farm opposite Clayton, Thursday, Nov. 29, at the advanced age of 89 years, 5 months and 12 days.
(Note: This appears to be a reference to John M. Bolsinger, shown in WPA records as buried in the Bolsinger Cemetery, the spelling of the surname being a newspaper error. Clayton is a Mississippi River town and "opposite" in this article appears to indicate that Barbara Morris lived in Wisconsin at the time of her fathers death.)
