Elkader Register, Thur., 20 Sept. 1906. Monona column.
Kenneth McKinley Mitchell, only son of C. A. and Murtie Mitchell, was born at Rossville, Iowa, Sept. 23rd, 1896, and died at Monona, Sept. 11th, 1906. He was taken sick about the middle of August, 1905, with typhoid fever, which left his system so broken in strength that he fell an early prey to tuberculosis. His funeral took place this afternoon from the Methodist church. His class from the public school attended in a body under the leadership of his teacher, Miss Estella Goodsell, assisted by Mrs. Renshaw. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. The family have the sympathy of many friends in their bereavement.
