Tuesday, August 28, at 11:30 a.m. occurred the death of John Huebner, Sr., at his home north of this city. The funeral will be held Thursday from the house at 1:00 p.m., interment being at St. Sebald. Rev. Fuehr, of St. Sebald, will have charge of the funeral. Mr. Huebner was born in Germany in 1820 and came to this country in 18__ (Looks like 1834 or 1854.), living for two years in Chicago, where in 1854, he was married to Hattie Miller, who survives her husband. They came to Clayton county in 1856 and have resided here ever since. To them were born four children, Fred, John, Mary and Lizzie. Of these but two are now living, Fred having past away, and Mrs. Mary Laging having been buried last week Wednesday at Spring Valley, Minn.
