Innick Kohler died at his home at 7:30 Wednesday evening, July 25th, at the age of 48 years, 8 months and 11 days. He has been suffering more or less from a rupture for several years, and two weeks ago his condition took a serious turn. He became bedfast, grew weaker each day and slowly wasted away. He was born in Guttenberg November 14, 1857, where he constantly made his home. He followed steamboating for a time and engaged in the manufacture of brick several years and then conducted a saloon business until two years ago, when he again returned to the manufacture of brick which he was unable to continue because of failing health.
He was married to Miss Ameila Miller, April 28, 1881, who died three years ago. He is survived by his children John, Annie and Clara, besides his mother and brothers George and Barney, and sisters, Mrs. Anna Miller, Mrs. Mary Sadewasser, of Guttenberg, and Mrs. Lizzie Kobal, of West Superior. Mr. Kohler was an upright citizen and a kind father, esteemed by all who knew him.
The funeral will be held tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence. Burial at the City cemetery. Attorney C. E. Scholz will conduct the services.- Clayton Co. Journal.
