Funeral services for Edward Wilkins, aged 58, who died Thursday morning, were held Saturday afternoon at one o'clock from the home to the Methodist church at 1:30 and burial was made in the Council Hill cemetery.

Ted Wilkins was born at Fenny Compton, Warwickshire, England, Feb. 9, 1872, and at the age of one year was brought to Pennsylvania and later to Wisconsin by his parents.

On April 5, 1899, he was married to Miss Laura Charlotte Kaiser at Prairie du Chien, Wis., and that year moved to their farm in Allamakee county which has since been his home.

Ten children were born to them, two having preceded him in death. Surviving, besides the widow, are eight children: Lee Wilkins of Harpers Ferry, Wilbur Wilkins of Rossville, Mrs. Roy Brown of Luana, Mrs. Irving Schierholz of Monona, Floyd, Wilkins of McGregor, Mrs. Violet Adney of Bridgeport, Wis., and Wayne and Kenneth Wilkins at home.

Mr. Wilkins served as director of the Luana-Monona Farmer's Telephone company for 18 years. His jovial disposition won for him many friends. The sympathy of the entire community is extended Mrs. Wilkins and children in their loss.
