LIFELONG RESIDENT OF THIS COMMUNITY DIES HERE FRIDAY MORNING

Helmuth Mueller, a lifelong resident of this community, died Friday morning of last week in the home of his brother, Fred Mueller, in Guttenberg.

Mr. Mueller, who was 55 years of age, had been ill for some time. He had been working on the Louis Friedlein farm in Millville township until about two weeks before his passing when his ailment caused him to come to Guttenberg.

He was born Aug. 14, 1881, on a farm in Jefferson township, where he was reared. He attended the Jefferson township schools.

Funeral Sunday

Mr. Mueller never married.

Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Sunday in the Mueller home here. The Rev. C. A. Jacobi officiated. Burial was in St. John’s cemetery in Jefferson township.

Mr. Mueller is survived by one brother, Fred, and three sisters, Mrs. Henry Geuder, Sr., of Guttenberg, Mrs. George Miller of Manchester, and Mrs. George Meyer of Aplington. One sister, Mrs. Henry Niehaus, died several years ago.
